RAAC Removal Grant Fund
The capital grant will enable buildings with RAAC confirmed to remove the bubbly-like concrete. The primary scope of works will comprise the replacement of roof decks and coverings. The grant extends to cover ‘unavoidable consequential works,’ such as the refurbishment, reinstatement or replacement of services, furniture, and equipment. The provision of providing temporary accommodation, if required, and associated professional fees from technical advisor can also be included with the grant funding. The grant will enable educational establishments to appoint a technical advisor to manage the process, ensuring providers can focus on teaching, and pupils return to classroom-based learning.
The RAAC Removal Grant allows you to address not only the removal of the concrete, but also consequential improvement works, including:
- Make good external areas affected by the works, such as, paths, parking, hard play surfaces etc
- Enabling works inclusive of temporary accommodation for teaching, storage costs and internal fencing
- Mechanical & Electrical provisions reinstated, or even replaced, if necessary

- Replacement of like for like floor finishes
- New decoration where walls and ceilings are damaged
- Planning consent, if required
